7th KALAMATA STREET FESTIVAL

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 7^th KALAMATA STREET FESTIVAL (2013, July 26, 27, 28)


Last summer Kalamata Street Festival was, according to the local media, “a real blast”!!! From a small festival, as it shyly started 4 years ago, it has already been changed over into an integrated festival of international character with thousands of attendants.

However, its philosophy has not been changed a bit. First and foremost it is not a commercial festival. It remains a gathering of active citizens and carriers of the town. It is about a structured group of volunteers which confirms that, when there is a will, something open can indeed be created away from any political, individual or economic interests. Thus, all together, jointly and voluntarily, we form a unique outcome for the town of Kalamata and we offer a big free entrance festival with more than 10 parallel venues for three consecutive days every summer.

Based on this background, we are honored to address this OPEN INVITATION to artists, musicians, actors, athletes, society clubs, theatrical schemes, music bands and on the whole to anyone interested in TAKING PART OF THIS ACTION by adding his own piece to the 7th Kalamata Street Festival.
